Hamilton Wants Its Next Special Broadway Playbill Artwork to Be Designed by You

Broadway's Hamilton wants your help to celebrate its 10 years on Broadway. The show is holding a fan art contest for a special added 10th Anniversary Playbill Cover, and wants it to be designed by you. The contest runs through June 25 and asks fans to submit their own, original artwork using the design platform Canva and use the Canva Playbill Contest template.

SPONSORS:

This contest (“Contest”) is promoted by Playbill (“Promoter”), with Canva, and the producers of Hamilton (collectively, the “Sponsors”).

ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Promoter and Sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) or persons living in the same household are not eligible to participate.

ENTRY PERIOD

The Contest begins on June 9, 2025, and ends on June 25, 2025 (“Contest Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be considered.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter:

  • All submissions must be created in Canva using the Canva Playbill Contest template using the Hamilton cover as inspiration.
  • Entrants must repurpose their Hamilton cover design created in Canva into an Instagram post using #HamilTEN and #CanvaPlaybillContest, and follow Hamilton, Playbill, and Canva on Instagram.
  • Entrants may also submit via email to [email protected] with name, age, and contact information.
  • Only one entry per person. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Entries must:

  • Be original work created solely by the entrant.
  • Not contain any third-party logos, copyrighted images not within the Canva template, or offensive material.
  • Be created using Canva or the Canva platform.

Promoter and Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these guidelines.

PRIZES AND FULFILLMENT

Grand Prize (1 winner):

  • Be featured on the Playbill website and social platforms
  • Be the exclusive secondary cover of the August Hamilton Playbill for the full month, with editorial credit
  • Receive two (2) tickets to a performance of Hamilton at the Richard Rogers Theatre
  • Receive Canva Pro subscription+ Canva Print Voucher*
  • Receive Hamilton merchandise “swag bag”
  • Receive Playbill merchandise “swag bag”
  • Receive Canva merchandise “swag bag”

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash. Playbill will coordinate delivery of physical and digital prizes within 30 days of winner verification.

*Prizes will be applied to the Winners’ accounts shortly after winning. In the event a Winner has an existing subscription to Canva Pro (whether yearly or monthly) the prize will commence at the expiry of the Winner’s existing subscription period.

LICENSE AND PUBLICITY

By entering, entrants grant Promoter and Sponsors a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute their designs for marketing and promotional purposes, with credit. Entrants agree to allow Promoter and Sponsors to use their name, image, and design in all media, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Promoter and Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud or technical problems compromise its integrity. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and decisions of the judges. All federal, state, and local laws apply.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Promoter and Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries. By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsors and their affiliates from any and all liability arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

GOVERNING LAW

This Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
